How to Clear Cache for a Single Website

When using a website, you may sometimes experience issues such as:
  • Login or form submission doesn’t work properly
  • You still see old content after an update
  • The page layout looks broken or incomplete
These problems are often caused by cached data in your browser. Follow the steps below to clear cache only for one website without affecting others.

Method 1: Hard Refresh (Quick Fix)

  • Windows / Linux: Press Ctrl + F5
  • Mac: Press Command + Shift + R
This forces the browser to reload the page directly from the server instead of using cached files.

Method 2: Clear Cache for the Current Site

  1. Open the website that is not working properly.
  2. Press F12 or right-click the page and select "Inspect" to open the Developer Tools.
  3. Go to the Application tab.
  4. On the left panel, select Clear storage or Clear site data.
  5. Click the button to clear cache and then refresh the page.
This removes cached files and cookies for the current site only.

Method 3: Clear DNS Cache (Optional)

If you still face redirect or access issues, clear your computer’s DNS cache:

Windows:

1. Open Command Prompt (CMD).
2. Type: ipconfig /flushdns
3. Press Enter.

Tips

1. Try Hard Refresh first.

2. If the issue persists, use Clear site data.

3. Clearing cache will not delete your personal files or affect other websites.
